How To Get Your McFarlane David Ortiz Exclusive...

Mc Farlanes have announced they are to realease a McFarlane David Ortiz Ollectors Edition figure they have announced. The designated Red Sox hitter will be the latest player to be given this accolade.

Born on November 18th, 1975 in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and sports a tattoo as a tribute to mother, who died in a car crash in January 2002, on his biceps. His son D'Angelo is also named after her and has become a Green Bay Packers fan since marrying the former Tiffany Brick.

In 1992 at the age of 17 he was signed by the Seattle Mariners and was traded to the Minnesota Twins in 1996 when he made is debut in the Major Leagues. He then went on to join the Boston Red Sox in 2003 after the Minnesota Twins released him.

Also named "Big Papi" this figure will be painted with Boston's alternate red jersey. David Ortiz is shown rounding the third base, hand held high with as his helmet rolls to the ground at his feet.
