HELPING YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR FIGURE(S)!Marrina Mini Bust
Marrina is part of an alien species known as the Plodex. She was sent to earth in egg form, acquiring the form of the first species she saw (in this case, a human), as all Plodex do. However, Marrina had to wait thousands of years before hatching, as her egg was mistakenly dropped into the Atlantic Ocean. A fisherman by the name of Tom Smallwood came to find her while he was drowning during a storm. The egg holding Marrina allowed Smallwood to float to the surface, thus saving his life. Tom then took the egg home to his wife, Gladys, who then cracked the shell open. Over the years, Marrina would grow up like any other female child under the care of the Smallwoods. At sixteen, Marriana begins to realize her powers as a mutant. She had long been curious about her webbed feet and ability to breathe underwater indefinitely. Among her other powers are the ability to withstand freezing temperatures, to shed the outer layers of her skin in order to swim at torpedo-like speeds, and superhuman strength, endurance and vision. Marriana soon becomes a member of Beta Flight, a Canadian team of superheroes funded by the government. Proving herself as a member, she takes on the rank of an Alpha Flight member. During this time, Marianna learns of her alien roots from the Master, a superhuman caveman who himself was experimented on by the Plodex. Soon Marriana marries her lover and rescuer from the Master, Namor the Submariner. During this time, Marriana fights alongside the Avengers for several missions. After becoming pregnant by Namor, Marriana turns into a savage beast, the result of her DNA intermingling with that of a regular mutant’s. But this was not the first time this occurrence has happened, as it happened when Attuma captured her as well. While in this state, Marriana would grow talons and secrete an oil from her skin capable of blinding those near her. In this particular situation, Marriana grew to the size of a sea serpent. Almost poetically, Namor was forced to slay her. Her death is still uncertain, though, as Llan the sorcerer has claimed that ‘Marriana now sleeps a false death under the waves.’ Later still, Marriana’s body was said to be seen floating in a tank deep within the Master’s lair. The Marriana Mini-bust stands over 6 inches tall and features a removable arm extension.
