The Kenshirou Fist of the North Figure has, until recently, only been available in Japan. Originally serialized from 1983-88 in Shonen Jump the story of Fist of the North Star has 25 chapters reprinted in 27 collectible volumes. Fist of the North star is set in a world that has been devastated by war and the Earth has become a barren land where the strong prey on the weak for survival. In this post apocalyptic world emerges Kenshiro the successor of the Hokuto Shinken secret martial arts style. The Hokuto Shinken is a deadly martial arts that allows its followers to destroy an opponents body from within by striking into their secret channeling points. His Hokuto Shinken teacings also allow him to heal the sick using the same secret channeling points of the body. Kenshirou, however uses his skills and abilities to protect the weak and innocent from the many ruthless and murderous villians. The youngest of three adopted sons and wears seven scars on his chest bin the shape of the "Hokuto Shichisei" or Big Dipper. After his life was saved by the mother of his future enemies he was shipped to Japan along with his brothers to be raised by Hokuto Shinken Master Ryuuken. His Hokuto Shinken teacings also allow him to heal the sick using the same secret channeling points of the body. Fist of the North Star was one of Shonen Jumps most popular titles in the 80's and remains the 7th best ever selling Shonen Jump title in Japan.
