The Kenner Indiana Jones figures line was expanded in 1983 with a second series of ten figures; however three of the figures in this set were a re-release of the same figures from the first series but with a new 9-card back.
The new card for this series also no longer featured the Belloq offer on the front
Due to this series smaller production run, and as a result it of the 9-back card, these figures were scarcer than the original 4-back card figures and were hugely popular disappearing of toy shelves almost overnight.

The Cairo Swordsman was also re-released but unlike the others it was re-released on the original 4-back card still featuring the Belloq offer.
A third play set was also released with this series, the Streets of Cairo, and there was also a Desert Convoy Truck released.
Sallah
Sallah was the first new Kenner Indiana Jones Figures in this wave on the new 9-back card. The figure, like all the previous figures has 7 points of articulation: the neck, 2 shoulders, 2 hips, and 2 knees.
Accessories: a removable robe and a torch. The torch is exactly the same as the ones included with the Well of the Souls playset.
Indiana Jones in German Uniform
This series of Kenner Indiana Jones Figures also featured a new Indiana Jones figure, in a German uniform and as with the previous figure was only available on the 9-back card. The this Indiana Jones figure also came with the quick draw feature from the first series and had 7 points of articulation: neck, 2 shoulders, 2 hips, and 2 knees.
Accessories: a bazooka.
German Mechanic
The German mechanic figure was the third figure only available in this series and like the others had 7 points of articulation: the neck, 2 shoulders, 2 hips, and 2 knees. This figure also featured the quick draw feature a came with a handy wrench, ready to bash someone over the head with!
Arabian Horse
The Arabian Horse's was a nice touch to this series and came on a slightly larger than the normal Indy action figure card (about 1/2" wider and 1/2" longer). The horse came complete with removable reigns, bridle and saddle and a "galloping" action which was activated by a button on the horse's right.
Belloq
There are three Belloq figures available in total, the official series two Belloq figure, the original UNCARDED Belloq in Ceremonial Robe and a CARDED Belloq in Ceremonial Robe.
Only a very few of the CARDED Belloq in Ceremonial Robe figures have ever been seen and it is thought that these were salesmen's samples and that few have survived. This has resulted in this figure becoming the most sought after Indiana Jones figure and the most expensive of all!
This figure is only available on the 9-back card.
Kenner Indiana Jones Figures Streets of Cairo Playset
The only playset to be released with the series two Indiana Jones figures was the Streets of Cairo playset which featured an exclusive Monkey Man figure and a non-articulated, crouching Marion figure. The Monkey figure was also molded in a different pose to the one that came with the carded Marion figure. As with the other playsets this was very popular due to the amount of accessories that it came with:
- Monkey Man figure with knife & robe
- Single piece Monkey figure
- Single piece crouched Marion figure
- 6-piece cart: 2 wheels, a chassis, a body,a tailgate and a set of legs
- 5-piece table: 4 legs and a table top
- 13 fruits: 10 oranges and 3 melons
- 3 different baskets and 3 different lids for the baskets

Kenner 12-inch Indiana Jones Figure
Taking advantage of the fact that Harrison Ford also starred in Star Wars as Han Solo Kenner used their earlier Star Wars mold for the 12-inch Indiana Jones figure released in 1983.
The only real difference between the two is that the Indiana Jones figure had blue eyes whereas the Han Solo figure had brown eyes.
Accessories: a Whip, Gun, removable jacket, hat, shirt, pants and boots.
