Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 1 Figure

Built while in captivity Stark's original armor was crude and bulky.

Made from ordinary iron it offered him protection from physical attacks, small arms fire and gave him some protection from temperature extremes, some energy forms, and acid.

The "suit" was powered by flat linear armature DC motors which was rechargeable via any electrical outlet.

The exoskeleton also enhanced the wearers strength by about 10 times, and used negative feedback for motion sensing.

The Mark 1 armor had air pressure jets that allowed for extended jumps but weren't capable of true flight.

It was also equipped with a chest-mounted monobeam (proton beam generator which was only had a range of a few yards), a miniature hacksaw that extended from the gauntlet's fingertips, and a magnetic turbo-insulators that was capable of magnetically deflecting metal projectiles or bringing metal objects to him.

Its' sensors consisted of a short-wave radio and all the armor's devices and functions were manually controlled by the wearer

With its' limited rocket jump capacity it was built to allow Stark to exit the immediate hostile area and escape as quickly as possible however the rockets failed shortly after the start, and the suit shattered upon landing forcing Stark to abandon and attempt to reach friendly territory. .

The Iron Man Mark 1 figure from Hot Toys is an authentic and accurate replica of Tony Starks original armor built in order to escape his kidnappers.

Standing 12-inches high this intricatly detailed reproduction features over 36 points of articulation as well as a genoerous number of accessories.

This figure is based on the Iron Man Mark 1 as feature in the hit Marvel Iron Man movie.

Using Hot Toys popular True Type figure the body is dressed beneath the armor, however the armor is not removable (I know, I know. Why dress him but not allow you to take of the armor?) but the helmet does have a rising faceplate to show off the head sculpts likeness to actor Robert Downey Jnr as Tony Stark.

The 12-inch Iron Man Mark 1 figure also features a light up heart and red button on his forearm (battery operated- batteries not included) and interchangeable hands.

He also comes equipped with a built-in flamethrower and a forearm missile launcher.
