Halo Odd Pods represent McFarlane's first attempt to break into the lucrative vinyl market.

It seems that the latest "craze" is to issue vinyl sets along with their counterpart figures these days.

It all started innocently enough with the underground "Urban Vinyl" movement which catered very much to a small, niche audience and very low production runs which often drove prices up on the secondary market..

But eventually word got out about these highly collectible and coveted figures and the "big boys" started to produce their own versions.

Currently you can find a vinyl interpretation of almost anything from Mickey Mouse to Hellboy, and more!

McFarlane toys are well known and established for their more traditional figures so it will be interesting to see how well it's recieved by fans and collectors.

Odd Pods are the new stylized variation of our highly successful Halo figures, with special appeal for the vast "urban" figure collector market.

Odd Pods have interchangeable heads, torsos and arms for countless customization possibilities.

The first series includes four fan-favorite Halo characters with weapons.

HALO ODD PODS SERIES 2

McFarlane's second series of Halo Odd Pods features all new characters including three fan favorites from Halo 3, and "The Rookie" from the new Halo 3: ODST.

• ARBITER: Stylized Arbiter Odd Pod with Energy Sword.
• SPARTAN CQB (RED): Stylized Spartan CQB (red) Odd Pod with Spartan Laser.
