Sideshow Collectibles Lifesize C-3PO Figure Review I've always been fascinated with robots, and part of that is due to Star Wars. C-3PO and R2-D2 are some of the most recognizable robots in history. I've liked C-3PO's design and personality ever since I was a kid, and now that I work as a translator (of Japanese), I feel a sort of closeness to the hapless protocol droid. Needless to say, I was intrigued when I heard about Sideshow's life-sized droids. Given their high price, I had originally intended to put them on my long-term "maybe I'll buy these someday" list, but then I discovered that they would be limited to only 250 units apiece, and that most of them had already been sold. I panicked a bit at the thought of them selling out before I had a chance to get them, so I canceled a number of things I had on order and ordered the droids instead.
