Transformers Energon Figures, Is Unicron Still Alive?

TRANSFORMERS ENERGON Figures - 2003-2004

First introduced in Transformers: The Movie Unicron was thought to have died in Transformers Armada in 1986 but returns at the beginning of Transformers: Energon ready for revenge against the Autobots.

The Energon storyline centeres around the quest for Energon - a rare and potent substance that the Autobot and Decepticon warriors have battled over for eons and continue to fight for on Earth.!

The Decepticon forces have struck a deal with Unicron, in exchange for new powers and forms, to supply him with enough Energon to fully reactivate himself.

Then with legions of hyper-powered Decepticons they sped toward Earth, intent on controlling its Energon resources at any cost!

The highlight of Transformers Energon Figures was the release of a Unicron figure after nearly a 20 year wait for some fans and collectors. Standing a staggering 16 inches tall and featuring electronic lights and sounds and changing from planet to robot he was one of Hasbro's most adventurous Transformers figures.

A sub-line of toys was also produced at the same time, the Transformers Alternators. These figures were highly detailed toys based on classic Generation One characters in a 1:24 scale with hyper-realistic licensed car modes and with unparalleled articulation.

Each figure featured realistic tires, adjustable seats, detailed interiors and removable parts that became weapons and were fully poseable!
