Who is the Thing?

Benjamin Grimm is your typical backstreet, American, ghetto kid.

A streetwise, street smart, street scrapper with little need or enthusiasm for school or studies.

But his street upbringing in a rough New York ngighbourhood gave him whet it took to become a success on the football field and win a scholarship to attend Empire State University.

It is here he meets up with and befriends Reed Richards, who becomes his lifelong buddy.

Reed has a dream to build a spaceship and when he becomes a test pilot with the air force he gets his opportunity to build it.

Along with his buddy Benjamin, his girlfriend Sue and her brother Johnny the four go on their fateful journey into space.

Its not long before our fateful four encounter a cosmic storm and their spaceship is pelted with cosmic rays, which they later disvoer has given them special superhuman abilities.

And so the Fantastic Four is born.

But much to Benjamin's horror his superhuman powers transform him into a thick, rocky, orange skinned "creature" with superhuman strength making him virtually invulnerable, but ashamed of his superhuman looks he dubs himself "The Thing".

But this rough, rocky, wisecracking hero with his heart of gold has become one of Marvel comics most popular and loved characters.

And now you can own a Premium Format replica action figure of The Thing.

Produced by Sideshow Collectibles team of award winning sculptors and designers this action figure will dominate your Marvel Collection stand an imposing 20" in height.

Made from the highest quality polstone, hand finished and hand painted atop a rock base to the finest detail and standards he will impress all your friends and colleagues.

This modern version of the Thing represents him as he appears in Mike Wieringo's 27 issue run.

But be quick if you want to get your hands on one of these as there are only 250 available Worldwide!
