  • Born in Richmond, Virginia on ebruary 3rd, 1940 Fran Tarkenton played in the NFL for 17 seasons. He attended Athens High School in Geargia, followed by the University of Georgia where he played as a Quaterback for the Bulldogs.

In the 1961 NFL Entry Draft he was selected by the Minesota Vikingsin the third round, 26 overall. He stayed with the Vikings until 1967 when he was traded to the New York Giants.

During his early yeasrs with the Vinkings he often had disagreements with their head coach Norm Van Brocklin who was not a fan of Fran's mobile quarterback style of play.

After five successful years with the Giants he was traded back to the Vikings in 1972 and went on to lead the Vikings to three Super Bowl Championships through the 70's.

Throughout the 70's he won many awards and accolades including being selected to nine Pro-Bowls however his inability to win a championship game despite this prevents many people from considering him as a "great" player but when he retired he was the NFL's leader in passing yards and touchdowns. • Warren Moon- Houston Oilers QB #1
  • Harold Warren Moon was born on November 18th, 1956 in Los Angeles, California who played in both the Canadian and American Football Leagues and he is the only player to date who has been inducted into both the American and Canadian Hall Fame. He married his wife elicia on March 8, 1981 and they have one daughter.

He went to Hamilton High School in Los Angeles and joined West Los AngelesCollege in 1974 where he became a record setting quarterback. Due to Moon's insistence in playing as a Quarterback the University of Washington were on of the few four year colleges willing to sign him The highlight of his Unversity years was in 1978 when he led the Huskies to victory over favorites, the Mitchigan Wolverines, in the 1978 Rose Bowl

Despite his success at college he went undrafted in the NFL due to his inflexibilty and unwillingness to switch position. As a result he turned to the Canadian Football League and was signed by the Edmington Eskimos where he helped to lead them to five unprecedented Grey Cup wins.

Moon decided to enter the NFL in 1983 sparking of a bidding war by the Houston Oilers but due to the shorter and narrower feild size he initially had a difficulty adapting his strong throw. In 1989 he became the highest paid player in the NL at that time when the Oilers gave him a $10 million, 5 year contract extension.

$ He left the Oilers after the 1993 season to join the Minnesota Vikings where he passed for over 4,200 yards in his first two season but after breaking his collarbone he missed half of the 1996 season.

He stayed with the Seahawks for two seasons before moving to the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent but he only played in three games beore announcing his retirement in January 2001.
