Mislabeled Halo Figure

by Chris Blake
(Springfield, MO)

I received a McFarlane Halo Series 5 Action figure as a gift today. The White Hayabusa Master Chief to be exact. I was really happy to get it but the first thing I noticed was the front cardboard label is the wrong one. The label is for the Active Camo Master Chief rather than the one in the package. Now everything else is correct (Back Label, UPC, etc..). I have not been able to find any information on the internet about it so I was just curious if anyone else knew anything about it. Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the mail...

I haven't heard of any of this making it onto the market this this may well be a one off!

Keep it safe and I'll do a little more digging for you.

Anybody else know about this?

by Jesse
(Wollombi)

How do you detach and swap around the helmets with the 12 inch figures?

grunt figure

do you know of any uk stores on the internet which sell halo 3 grunt figures under £15?thanks

Answer
Many thanks for your question. The short answer is that I don't know of any off-hand BUT your best bet is to check your local Gamestop or EB (Electric Boutique store) as they will have them at the regular RRP.

However these are now in VERY short supply because:
i) there are from Series 1 which is no longer being produced.

ii) they were produced in low numbers.

The main problem here is because the Grunts weren't perceived as being major characters in the game that demand for them would be low and as a result fewer were produced and they were only available in the double packs.

But as time has gone by these have not been reproduced and as a result have become highly sought after and scarce, I've seen them selling for up to $30 EACH on eBay!

My recommendation is for you to search round your local hobby or specialist stores. Also check out my Comic Con dates (UK events ARE listed). I believe Memorabilia in Birmingham and Collectmania in Milton Keynes are on this month.

These are both excellent collectors shows and are the best places for finding these sorts of items at bargain prices.

HTH and Good Luck.

P.S. If you still can not locate one please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
